The Full Moon in Gemini was exact earlier this morning at 1:01am PST at 23º of Gemini. This full moon is ruled by Mercury in Sagittarius, which is stationing direct at this time and appearing to stand still in the sky. This will likely lead us to process internally as opposed to externally with others. We may not be able to find the words to explain how we feel. It’s okay to wait on an important conversation so that you can make sure you truly know how you feel and the best way to communicate it. Get curious about your emotions and of those closest to you. Perhaps you’re ready to let the conflicts and disagreements go because they are no longer worth the energy. You can relax and decide to accept your differences with others. The mood will be lightened and you can embrace the playful energy despite all of the challenges going on in the world around us. It’s important to allow yourself to feel joy and to rejuvenate yourself so that you can have the energy to successfully manage all of the changes to come.
With the Moon in Gemini and the Sun in Sagittarius creating a dynamic t-square to Neptune, we may get the inspiration or kick in the butt that we need to full heartedly pursue our dreams. We’ve likely felt a lack of progress in recent weeks with Mercury, Jupiter, and Mars moving retrograde. As Mercury moves direct, we’ll start to gain clarity on our next steps. Slow down and listen to your heart. This is a busy time of year for many people and it is important to prioritize the people, places, and things that bring you the most joy. This aspect wants us to consider where we have lost our faith in our dreams. Do you believe that you can live the life that you want?
Vesta is providing support from her position in Libra and can help us to tune into the things that light us up inside. Are you burning yourself out because of your focus on others and what they want? Consider what would be the most meaningful way for you to spend the last two weeks of the year. Reflect back on 2024 and get inspired on how far you’ve come on your journey. Are you more in tune with your spirit and what motivates you? Or have you continued down a dead end path that has only left you with resentment? If you are facing inner resistance when you consider continuing with a certain plan, it could be because it’s no longer right for you. With Vesta trine the Moon in Gemini, your emotions will speak just as loud as your mind. Use this opportunity to determine the things in your life that need to be released in order to make room for the new challenges and excitement that 2025 has in store for you.

The Sun is also conjunct the Dwarf Planet Varda. Varda was the Lady of the Stars in the Tolkien universe and she created the stars that provided light to the elves so that they could see when they awakened. She is a symbol of light and her stars serve as a beacon of hope, divine protection, and courage. Varda symbolizes the light that resides inside all of us, no matter how dark it gets. As we start to understand our place in the universe and how our lives have been lived mostly unconsciously, we may go to a dark place of resentment and fear. Varda encourages us to find the light within, no matter how small it is right now, and to start shedding the darkness that is muffling our light.
We need to recognize where our visions for our life have become stagnant and have the courage to create a new story for our life. Releasing old dreams can feel like a death and it’s important to feel the feelings that come up and accept that change is needed. Varda speaks to our ability to create order out of chaos because she reminds us that we all have a light inside that is guiding us. Once you’ve made it through the journey of darkness, you can start amplifying your light and serve as an inspiration for others. We can choose to shine our light regardless of what is happening in the world. It becomes an act of courage to stand strong in your own light when the world around you wants you to be small and succumb to the darkness. Those that stand in their light will serve as inspiration for others who are on their journey through the dark.
